Christmas is my favourite time of the year, a time where we can reflect on the things and people we are thankful for. This year has been another year of triumph and overcoming covid-19 obstacles, but I am proud to say that we have made it to the end of another successful year. I wanted to write this blog post to reflect on the year we have had and also thank you, our clients, for the endless support you have provided us across the year.
Despite being in another lockdown, and lets be honest, the longest one we have faced throughout covid-19 across the last two years, we are really proud that we were able to adapt to the restrictions and still be able to support our clients in a safe manner. Through improving our online presence by updating our online shop we saw an increase in sales from across Australia. This was something we were so excited about, because we were able to reach a larger audience and share our passion for beautiful and unique products with our wider Australian community.
Now whilst its been a couple of years in the making, this year provided us time to explore and develop our brand, 'Arendal EST 2020'. We worked with manufacturers from Australia and around the world to develop our homewares collection, including soft furnishings, candles and diffusers. We were really excited to see our demo products come to fruition this year with a launch date for the range to be introduced early 2022. Watch this space!!
One our biggest passions, and reasoning for starting the Splendour organization almost 20 years ago, was to work with clients on their residences to assist with developing a space that reflects the client themselves. This year we had the pleasure to work with over 30 luxury projects to make dreams become reality. We feel very blessed, as across our time within the industry, we have accomplished a reputation within our wider community of luxury design, something we are extremely passionate about and hope to expand upon in the coming years.
With the increase in work, we were so excited to be able to expand our team and introduce new people into our Splendour family. One thing I always say, your business success is only as strong as the team you work with, and I am very proud to say, that we would not be where we are today without our amazing Splendour Team.
It is always a fantastic feeling when we get nominated and win awards within our industry and community. We we're excited to have been voted as a winner of the 'Best of Houzz 2021' in customer services. Houzz is an online platform to browse and save beautiful photos of inspiring homes, find and hire the right designer and construction professionals and connect with a community of home-renovators and design lovers. We were also nominated as a finalist for the Precedent Productions Australian Small Business Awards, with the winner announcement to be made in early 2022.
I feel so proud and blessed to be able talk about our 2021 successes, and as mentioned earlier, we are only as strong as the people who support us. So thank you! We will be closed over the Christmas holidays from 23.12.2021 to 10.01.2022 to spend time with our families.
